A MAN has been arrested in Wales in connection with a brutal assault on a Coventry taxi driver.

The man was arrested in Anglesey on Friday. He is being questioned by police about an attack on a taxi driver in Poitiers Road, Cheylesmore, Coventry, on September 1, 2003.

The taxi driver was hit in the face and body and his head was stamped on. He suffered a broken jaw and arm.

The arrested man was taken to Nuneaton police station for questioning about that offence and an unrelated assault.
