A MAN attacked a taxi driver after he brought them back from a night out in Wigan.

The attack happened in the early hours of Sunday morning when the three men were dropped off in Sandy Lane, Stockton Heath at 5.50am.

One of the men assaulted the driver who suffered bruising and swelling to his face.

All three men were white and of medium build. The first was 5ft 8ins and had short black hair, the second was 5ft 10ins while the third was 6ft and also had short dark hair.
