Driver held after cyclist death
A DRIVER was arrested by police early today after a cyclist died in a crash in Cholsey.
Officers were called shortly after 12.30am by a member of public who had seen a damaged car and a bicycle lying in Wallingford Road.
Police found a 20-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is being questioned at Abingdon police station.
The Wallingford Road was closed between its junction with the bypass and Capps Lane for about three hours, while collision investigators examined the scene.
