Taxi Driver in Court in Connection with Death of Soldier
A taxi driver has appeared before magistrates charged in connection with the death of a Cumbrian soldier in a road collision. The body of 19 year old Michael Dixon from Harraby in Carlisle was found on the A606 in Rutland in July. He had been hit by a vehicle. 35 year old Muhammad Razaq has pleaded not guilty to a charge of dangerous driving. Private Dixon had just returned from his first tour of duty in Iraq with the Kings Own Royal Border Regiment.
