Police are investigating a sex attack on a teenage girl in the heart of Norwich's clubland.

She was found wandering around the city's Prince of Wales Road in the early hours of Sunday dressed only in a black T-shirt and boots, and in a very distressed state.

Police believe two men came to her assistance and helped her into a Hackney cab, which then dropped her off on the Mile Cross estate in Norwich.

Investigating officer Det Con Pat Thompson said: “I am very keen to speak to the two men who helped this victim and the taxi driver who dropped her off. “I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen a young girl who was not fully clothed in the Prince of Wales Road area between 2.30am and 3.20am on Sunday.”
