Taxi Driver Walking Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver
ANAHEIM, California. A taxi driver walking near his cab was struck by a car and seriously injured Thursday in Anaheim, and police sought the hit-and-run motorist.
The man, in his 40s, was taken to a hospital following the accident, which occurred about 5:45 a.m. in the 100 block of North Magnolia Avenue, said Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez. His name was not released.
The cabbie was walking in the marked center median area of the roadway, which is not marked by a raised curb, when he was hit by a car that apparently exited a driveway from a nearby apartment complex, Martinez said.
The vehicle was described as a dark-colored compact car.
