RTA, Taxi Franchise Companies sign strategic agreement
Dubai – The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a strategic agreement with six Taxi Franchise Companies: Cares, Arabia, Metro Taxi, Al Watani, Al Madina and Al Hatta, besides Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), to promote services.
The agreement will be experimental for six months after which the public transport agency in cooperation with the DTC and the taxi franchise companies, will evaluate the performance.
The agreement was signed by Eisa Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, CEO, public transport agency on behalf of RTA and Abdul Aziz Malek, executive director, DTC. It was also signed by directors of the taxi franchise companies.
Al Dossary commended the directors of the taxi franchise companies for signing the agreement, which he describes as "strategic and a step towards keeping abreast with Dubai's position as a regional business hub", reiterating that the aim of the agreement is also to better services to the UAE nationals, residents, visitors and tourists.
He added that the taxi franchise companies, public transport agency and DTC will work together to provide better services to public, indicating that the "aim should not be only profit but provision of comfort to public through excellence and qualitative services".
