Cops seek cabbie in hit and run
London - Ontario
Damage done to the front of a stopped vehicle on a downtown London street, Saturday (April 26), has London police looking to speak with a cab driver for the London U-Need-A-Cab company.
Police said the incident occurred at just after 11 p.m., when an eastbound vehicle on Mill Street near Richmond Street stopped to let passengers out.
"A black and yellow U-Need-A-Cab traveling eastbound on Mill Street pulled out to pass the parked vehicle. A westbound about town cab was approaching so the U-Need-A-Cab driver pulled back into the lane and took off the front bumper of the parked vehicle," said a London police media release.
No one was injured, police said, but the cab driver failed to stop and provide their information.
Police are looking to speak with both the passengers of the U-Need-A-Cab, as well as the driver. Presently there is no description available of the cab driver, police added.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call London police at 519-661-5670 or contact Crime Stoppers online (see link) or phone 1-800-222-TIPS.
